I loved everything about Savannah. I actually vacationed on Tybee Island which is only a 4 mile drive from Savannah. I chose Tybee due to closeness of the beach and because it was right next to Savannah so I got 2 places I wanted to see for the price of one. I got to go sit on the famous bench that Tom Hanks sat on in "Forest Gump," which I felt belated about all day. I got to go to Fort Pulaski. That actually was a surprise to me. I didn't know that it was there and I love anything that is historical so I visited that and finally learned why we got that day off from school. There are so many beautiful little shops in Savannah and the people were so wonderful and inviting and were true to their southern roots. But what captivated me the most was that Savannah was preserved. The homes were so old yet beautiful and magnificent and decorated with a lot of pride. The way that the Spanish Moss wrapped around the trees just made every picture that I took even more beautiful and that when you drove down the streets on each side the trees would somehow be formed together like an arch, it was amazing. You could tell that everyone was proud of Savannah when you were there. They still had brick roads and the old plantations. I have done so much sight-seeing that I spent an extra 2 days there. I bow to all of those who keep that beautiful city at its best: Preserved and Natural.

Savannah is the most beautiful place I have ever seen in the United States. On a trip to Florida, my father, brother and I decided to stop in Savannah on the way to Florida. I had never been there and when we arrived, I was spellbound by the absolute beauty of it. Virtual Tourist User
